General Directions:

In Grand Rapids (near the corner of Wealthy and Plymouth Road)

Coming from the South: Take US-131 North to Wealthy St. (Exit 84A). Turn right onto Wealthy street, approximately 5miles. Follow Spectrum Health signs for parking instructions at the corner of Wealthy and Plymouth.

Coming from the West: Take I-196 East. Follow to I-96 East. Take (Exit 40A) merging into westbound Cascade road. Follow blue hospital signs to Robinson road. Turn left on Robinson road. Continue to Plymouth road, turn left. Follow to Wealthy turn left at the stop light. Follow the Spectrum Health signs for parking instructions.

Coming from the East: Take I-96 West to (Exit 40A) merging onto westbound Cascade road. Follow blue hospital signs to Robinson road, turn left. Continue to Plymouth road, turn left. Follow to Wealthy St turn left at the light. Follow the Spectrum Health signs for parking instructions.

Handicap parking: Follow Spectrum Health patient parking signs to ramp in professional building. All handicap spaces are available on first level, East entrance to elevator.

Grand Rapids Cardiology is located in the professional building at Blodgett. On the third floor suite 380.

Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Inpatients and outpatients should park in Patient Parking off Plymouth Road, enter through the Patient Entrance and register at the Second Floor Patient Registration Area. Visitors and family members should park in the Parking Ramp off Wealthy.

Exceptions
Clinic patients should park in the Parking Ramp, enter through the 2nd floor West overpass and register at the Clinic Registration Desk.

Outpatient Chemotherapy treatment patients should park in the Parking Ramp, enter through Main Entrance and proceed to the 1D Oncology Unit.

All Other Times: 8:30 p.m. - 5:00 a.m.
All patients and visitors should park in Patient Parking off Plymouth Road, enter through the Emergency Entrance and register at the Emergency Registration Desk.

Exception
• All surgical patients should park in Patient Parking off Plymouth Road and enter through the Patient Entrance at all times. Then, take the West elevator to the 5th floor to Outpatient Services.

All visitors - family members, customers and job applicants, including individuals attending classes and support groups, park in the Parking Ramp and enter through the First Floor Main Entrance prior to 8:30 p.m. Stop at the Information Desk for directions.

Parking Ramp - patient, family member and visitor parking available at no cost on the 1st and 2nd Levels only. The ramp accommodates vehicles with height of 7 feet or less. This excludes some vans. Vehicles taller than 7 feet will be directed to alternative parking by the Visitor Assistants at the Emergency/Patient Entrance off Plymouth.

Handicap Access - parking available in Patient Parking area off Plymouth and 1st Level ONLY of Parking Ramp. For assistance, see a Visitor Assistant at the Emergency/Trauma Center or Patient Entrance.

Coming from North or South
  1. Take U.S. 131 to I-196 East
  2. Exit on College Avenue (Exit 78) and turn south
  3. Turn right on Michigan Street (first traffic light)
  4. The hospital is on the corner of Michigan Street and Barclay Avenue
Coming from East or West
  1. Take I-196 to College Avenue (Exit 78) and turn south
  2. Turn right on Michigan Street (first traffic light)

Parking
  • Parking is available in the North Visitor Parking ramp, on the north side of Michigan Street (see campus map)
  • The ramp is open from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • An enclosed pedestrian bridge connects the ramp to the campus
  • Free parking may be obtained through your nurse
Parking after 9 p.m. or Emergency Department Parking
  • To enter the hospital after 9 p.m., please use the Emergency Department Entry on Barclay Avenue
  • Patients driving themselves should go to the emergency department for parking assistance

Valet Parking and Patient Drop-off
We offer valet parking and patient drop-off services at the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center Entry on Barclay Avenue. There is a charge for valet services. Cars will be parked in a Spectrum Health parking ramp. To retrieve your keys after valet closes, contact security at (616) 391-1425.
