McKensay serves as our registered nurse. She is devoted just like our other staff, to the exceptional and uncompromising delivery of cardiovascular care, serving patients in a most empathetic approach.

Mckensay has the credentials to work where ever she would choose but enjoys our very personalized approach to patient care. Her work and efforts clearly demonstrate this dedication and ability.
McKensay came to us from a critical care background where she mastered certification in Advanced Hemodynamics, Life Support, Sedation, Recognition and treatment of Cardiac ischemic Syndromes, and Renal Diseases. Her exceptional skills qualified her for advancement to positions such as Critical Care nurse rounder where she was a resource for specialty physicians and nurses alike. She served as a Nurse Preceptor with a variety of health professional including pharmacists launching new hospital programs ensuring patient safety, as well as participating on the research committee where her skills proved valuable to mandate that proposed research projects were worthy of consideration, safe for patients, and conducted in an ethical manner.
McKensay received the Oakland University’s Top Scholar’s Award, was a member of the International Society for Nurses, and has been the recipient of any other Top Scholarships, Awards, and Recognitions.

She has served formally as an uncompromising patient advocate, has participated in multidisciplinary professional problem solving groups to ensure and improve health care quality and patient care, and throughout these accomplishments has continued to acquire new skills and accolades, always breaking new ground.
